NIGHT WORKS invites photographers to submit work created in the hours of darkness, where night itself becomes an active collaborator in the image-making process. These photographs may unfold in city streets or remote landscapes, under artificial lights or in near-complete darkness. They may be charged with drama or marked by subtlety, filled with human presence or defined by isolation. Long exposures, ambient glow, shadows, and darkness are all welcome—what matters is how the night shapes the visual experience.
All photographic approaches are encouraged, including fine art, documentary, conceptual, staged, and experimental work. The exhibition embraces a wide range of interpretations and methods, unified by their engagement with nighttime conditions.
Announcement of Selected Entries: April 15
Exhibition Launch and Duration: April 20 – June 20
Selected photographers will receive:
Inclusion in the Night Works online exhibition
A digital exhibition badge and printable certificate of participation
Promotion across Decagon Gallery’s social media platforms
Inclusion in the official exhibition catalog and the accompanying YouTube video
All submitted images must be made at night or clearly convey the visual and atmospheric qualities of nighttime.
