Welcome to the Queer Nature Photography Awards, a space dedicated to celebrating the rich and vibrant meeting point between queerness and biodiversity. Across the natural world, life expresses itself in countless forms, relationships, and adaptations that challenge rigid categories and remind us that diversity is one of nature’s greatest strengths. Our initiative was created to honor these expressions—both ecological and human—by shining a light on the beauty, complexity, and resilience that often remain overlooked or misunderstood.
Through photography, we aim to explore how nature itself can inspire more open and expansive ways of thinking about identity, coexistence, and belonging. The natural world offers endless examples of fluidity, cooperation, transformation, and difference—stories that mirror and affirm queer experiences while inviting everyone to see life from a broader perspective.
We are thrilled to invite photographers from around the globe to participate in our second and expanded edition. Whether you capture intimate moments in ecosystems, unexpected forms of life, or visual metaphors of connection and change, your perspective matters. Through your lens, we hope to reveal how nature defies conventions and opens the door to new ways of understanding ourselves and the world around us.
Your photograph can become part of a collective narrative—one that celebrates connection, resilience, and the intricate web of life that links all living beings. Together, we can showcase how biodiversity and queer perspectives enrich one another, reminding us that diversity, in every sense, is something to be protected, honored, and celebrated.
