For its landmark 15th edition, MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas unveils a new creative venture: an international call for entries on the theme“Metamorphosis, from Garment to Skin: differently ME.”

This evocative theme invites participants to reflect on the shifting boundaries between appearance and identity — on how we construct, conceal, and reveal ourselves through the act of transformation. Garments become metaphors for personality, while skin becomes the ultimate expression of truth.

The initiative is the result of a collaboration between MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas and Superstudio Events, with FUJIFILM as official sponsor — three entities united by a shared vision: to discover and support the next generation of image-makers.

Open to European students aged 18 to 28 in the fields of photography, communication, design, and fashion, the call seeks to identify emerging talents ready to shape the future of visual culture.

Up to ten selected artists will have the unique opportunity to exhibit their work at MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas, from 19 to 22 March 2026, alongside leading galleries and professionals in the global art market. Following the exhibition, one outstanding photographer will be chosen by both the public and a technical jury to realize a personalized photo shoot curated by Superstudio Set and E-Photo at the historic Superstudio 13 studios in Milan’s Via Forcella — an emblem of creativity and innovation.

Through this initiative, MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas continues to serve as a platform for discovery, offering young artists visibility, mentorship, and the chance to transform their ideas into professional practice.
