At MIA Photo Fair, BNP Paribas reaffirms its commitment to meaningful cultural initiatives through the fifth edition of the IRINOX SAVE THE FOOD Award, developed with the support of Irinox S.p.A. – Società Benefit. As a global leader in the production of high-quality blast chillers and advanced food-preservation technologies, Irinox has long championed environmental sustainability and the urgent need to reduce food waste.

The IRINOX SAVE THE FOOD Award was created to highlight and support artists who explore the complex and multifaceted theme of food. Through photography, video, and experimental visual practices, the award recognizes work that interprets food not merely as a physical necessity but as a profound symbolic, cultural, and social marker embedded in human experience.

Open to artists of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities, the Award aims to move beyond the evaluation of technical mastery or aesthetic refinement. Instead, its goal is to encourage a broader cultural dialogue on the role of art and photography in contemporary society, and on the ways food—an essential yet universally diverse subject—can serve as an interpretive lens for examining our world.

With its new title, Feeding the Image, the Award adopts an expanded vision of nourishment. It is no longer limited to the sustenance of the body but embraces the rich terrain of intellectual, cultural, and spiritual nourishment, reflecting a more holistic understanding of how images can enrich human awareness.
