Women Photograph has joined forces with Leica USA to bestow a $10,000 grant upon a photographer dedicated to an ongoing documentary endeavor. The Women Photograph + Leica Grant welcomes submissions from photographers who can showcase their enduring commitment to their narrative. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to present portfolios comprising 20 images, affirming substantial progress in their work and a clear vision of the additional steps required to bring the project to fruition. Notably, preference will be given to applicants who actively engage with the communities they document, transcending conventional journalistic practices.

The grant's primary purpose is to bolster the production of new work, encompassing the essential expenses associated with reporting and compensating photographers for their creative efforts. Moreover, it may serve as partial funding for community engagement initiatives.
