Leica, a name synonymous with excellence in photography, is inviting talented image-makers to take part in its First Travel Photography Award, a groundbreaking competition designed to celebrate the connection between people and the places they inhabit and explore. Open to photographers across Latin America, this award is not only a call to creativity but also an opportunity to gain recognition on an international stage.

The competition’s main category, Human Connection, is dedicated to uncovering powerful photo series that combine storytelling, technical brilliance, and visual beauty. The emphasis lies on capturing the richness of authentic travel moments—those encounters and experiences that bring cultures, landscapes, and communities vividly to life through the lens.

Photographers between the ages of 18 and 60, whether seasoned professionals or emerging talents, are encouraged to participate—provided they possess a strong portfolio of travel photography and a demonstrated passion for narrative-driven imagery. The competition is open to Latin Americans, Spanish-speaking photographers, and legal residents of these regions (with the exceptions of Brazil, Haiti, and Guyana).

The rewards are as inspiring as the challenge: three winners will not only receive state-of-the-art Leica cameras but also embark on unforgettable journeys to destinations such as Peru and Antarctica. Their work will further reach global audiences through publication in Luxury Travel Magazine, elevating their careers to new heights.

Judging will be entrusted to a panel of distinguished international experts—including celebrated photographers and editors—who will select the most outstanding works with the care and rigor that the Leica name represents.
