Leica is proud to announce the launch of its First Travel Photography Award, an exciting new initiative that invites photographers from across Latin America to showcase their vision of the world. With this contest, the prestigious brand seeks to celebrate the profound bond between human beings and the environments—both natural and cultural—that shape the richness and diversity of the region.

At the heart of the award is the Human Connection category, the central theme that challenges participants to present photographic series distinguished by their narrative strength, technical mastery, and refined aesthetic quality. The goal is to highlight travel experiences that are not only visually captivating but also resonate with authenticity and cultural depth.

The competition is open to professional and emerging photographers between the ages of 18 and 60 who have a strong portfolio in the field of travel photography and an approach grounded in compelling visual storytelling. Eligible participants include photographers of Latin American origin, individuals from Spanish-speaking countries, and legal residents of these nations—with the exception of Brazil, Haiti, and Guyana.

To honor creative excellence, three outstanding winners will be selected. They will be awarded with prizes of extraordinary value, such as Leica cameras, exclusive trips to iconic destinations like Peru and Antarctica, and international recognition through publication in Luxury Travel Magazine.

Entries will be evaluated by an international jury composed of acclaimed photographers, respected editors, and leading figures in the photography industry, ensuring a rigorous and inspiring selection process.
