The LOBA Women Grant is designed to empower female photographers by giving them the resources and support needed to bring a new photographic series to life, with the completed work presented within the prestigious LOBA framework. This global initiative grows out of the knowledge and momentum generated by the Leica Women Foto Project Award, established by Leica Camera USA in 2019 to celebrate and support women in visual storytelling. Now expanding beyond its original scope, the LOBA Women Grant seeks to reach women photographers worldwide. In response to the persistent gender imbalance within the photography field, the program aims to elevate women’s perspectives, foster creative opportunities, and ensure their work receives the recognition and visibility it deserves on an international stage.
