The Leica Street Photo Contest is an international photography competition dedicated to highlighting the power and diversity of street photography from across the world. The contest celebrates photographers who capture real life in public spaces, transforming everyday moments into compelling visual narratives.
Now in its fifteenth edition, the competition continues to grow as a global platform for creative expression. Photographers are invited to submit images that document authentic human moments, urban environments, and spontaneous interactions that define life in the streets. The focus is on images that reveal the unique atmosphere, rhythm, and emotional texture of everyday life.
This edition places strong emphasis on originality, creative vision, and the ability to observe the world with a distinctive photographic perspective. Both classic street photography and experimental interpretations are welcome, encouraging a wide range of styles, approaches, and storytelling techniques.
The contest seeks visual stories that explore social relationships, urban culture, and the emotional depth found in ordinary scenes. Whether subtle or bold, each image is expected to reflect thoughtful observation and a strong sense of narrative.
A professional jury of photography experts will select 30 standout images. These selected works will be showcased in high-profile exhibitions in Warsaw and at the Leica Gallery Vienna, offering significant international exposure. The exhibitions provide photographers with the opportunity to strengthen their professional portfolios, gain global recognition, and connect with a wider audience.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a Leica Q3 camera. Additionally, all 30 selected photographs will be exhibited in Warsaw and at the Leica Gallery Vienna, offering participants a prestigious gallery presentation and reinforcing the contest’s status as one of the leading street photography competitions worldwide.
