The Leica Street Photo Contest stands as an international celebration of street photography, dedicated to capturing the raw, unscripted beauty of life as it happens in public spaces around the world. Now in its fifteenth edition, the contest invites photographers from all backgrounds to submit images that reflect the richness and complexity of life in the streets. From quiet, intimate gestures to dynamic urban scenes, the competition seeks photographs that reveal authentic human experiences, spontaneous encounters, and the distinctive character of cities and communities worldwide.

This year’s edition places a strong focus on creativity and originality, encouraging photographers to express a unique photographic voice. Participants are welcome to submit both traditional street photography and innovative, experimental approaches, allowing for a wide and diverse range of visual interpretations.

The contest celebrates storytelling that uncovers social dynamics, cultural expressions, and emotional depth hidden within ordinary moments. Through careful observation and instinctive timing, photographers are challenged to document the poetry of everyday life and the stories that often go unnoticed.

A panel of respected photography professionals and industry experts will select the top 30 images. These works will be presented in prominent exhibitions in Warsaw and at the Leica Gallery Vienna, offering selected photographers an exceptional opportunity for international exposure. The exhibitions serve as a platform for artistic recognition, professional growth, and connection with a global audience.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a Leica Q3 camera, while all 30 selected photographs will be exhibited in Warsaw and at the Leica Gallery Vienna. Together, these exhibitions provide a prestigious gallery setting and global visibility, reinforcing the contest’s reputation as one of the most influential street photography competitions in the world.
