KG＋SELECT 2027 is an open-call program designed to discover and support outstanding photographic and visual artists. Following a jury review, approximately ten finalists will be selected to participate in a group exhibition presented during KYOTOGRAPHIE / KG＋ 2027 in Kyoto.

Every selected artist will receive a production grant of JPY 200,000, helping to support the realization and presentation of their work. The exhibition will offer finalists the opportunity to present their projects within the wider context of the festival and engage with an international audience of artists, curators, professionals and photography enthusiasts.

During the festival, the jury will visit the exhibition and select one participant as the KG＋SELECT Award Winner. This award provides a significant next step: the winning artist will be invited to present an exhibition as part of the official program of KYOTOGRAPHIE 2028, offering an exciting platform for their work to reach an even wider international audience.
