KG＋SELECT 2027 offers photographers and visual artists a unique opportunity to bring their work to Kyoto and become part of an internationally celebrated photography festival. Open to artists ready to share their vision with a wider audience, the program will select approximately ten finalists through a professional jury review.

The selected artists will receive a JPY 200,000 production grant to support the creation and presentation of their projects. Their work will then be brought together in a group exhibition during KYOTOGRAPHIE / KG＋ 2027, creating an exciting space for diverse artistic voices, ideas and photographic approaches to meet.

The journey does not end with the exhibition. During the festival, the jury will personally visit the selected exhibition and choose one artist to receive the prestigious KG＋SELECT Award. The winner will be invited to present a dedicated exhibition as part of the official KYOTOGRAPHIE 2028 program—an important opportunity for continued artistic development and international recognition.
