KG＋SELECT 2027 is an international open-call program offering emerging and established artists the opportunity to present their work within one of Kyoto’s most dynamic photography platforms. Through a jury selection process, approximately ten finalists will be chosen to take part in a dedicated group exhibition during KYOTOGRAPHIE / KG＋ 2027.

Each selected artist will receive a production grant of JPY 200,000, providing practical support for the development and presentation of their exhibition. The program offers participants the chance to showcase their work in an internationally recognised festival environment while connecting with audiences, curators and photography professionals from around the world.

During the festival, the jury will visit the group exhibition and select one artist as the recipient of the KG＋SELECT Award. The award winner will receive an exceptional opportunity to develop and present an exhibition as part of the official program of KYOTOGRAPHIE 2028, taking their work to the next stage of international visibility.
