A panel of distinguished judges will carefully review the submitted applications and select ten artists from the general public. Each of these ten artists will be awarded a production subsidy of 200,000 yen to support the realization of their projects. Their work will be presented in exhibitions held at designated venues, offering each artist the opportunity to share their vision with a broad audience.
The exhibitions will be promoted extensively through both domestic and international channels, including media coverage, the production of a dedicated catalogue, and additional outreach efforts to maximize visibility. Following the exhibitions, the judges will conduct an on-site evaluation and select one artist for the KG+ SELECT Award. The recipient of this honor will receive a grant of 500,000 yen and the opportunity to present a solo exhibition as part of the official KYOTOGRAPHIE 2027 program.
