Delving into the theme of food in contemporary photography with a special emphasis on the issue of food waste, the IRINOX SAVE THE FOOD award returns for its fourth edition under the curation of Claudio Composti. This competition invites artists from around the globe, irrespective of age or nationality, to present their photographic interpretations of food’s diverse roles and meanings, from sustenance and culture to the challenges of waste and sustainability.

This award is generously backed by Irinox S.p.A. – Società Benefit, a trailblazer in the field of rapid temperature chilling systems and high-quality preservation solutions for culinary and electrical applications. Through this initiative, Irinox reaffirms its dedication to fostering dialogue on food sustainability while supporting contemporary art that inspires change.

Fifteen talented artists will be chosen as finalists, their works set to be showcased at the 14th edition of MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas, one of the most prestigious events on the international photography calendar. Scheduled for March 20-23, 2025, at Superstudio Più in Milan’s renowned Via Tortona, the fair will provide a platform for these artists to gain visibility and acclaim. From the exhibited works, a jury will select one outstanding piece to join the IRINOX corporate collection through the IRINOX PURCHASE AWARD. This €5,000 gross acquisition underscores Irinox’s role as a patron of both innovative art and sustainability-focused narratives.
