The world of photography is filled with extraordinary talent, and standing out among thousands of entries takes more than technical skill alone. Creativity, originality, timing, artistic vision—and sometimes a little luck—all play a role in determining which photographs capture the attention of a judging panel.
At the International Landscape Photographer of the Year, we believe recognition should extend beyond just the top three positions. That's why our awards celebrate the Top 101 landscape photographs of the year, giving photographers from around the world a chance to have their work recognized and published.
We are looking for landscape photographs that make an impression. Your image could be a spectacular natural scene, a quiet and atmospheric landscape, a perfectly timed moment, or an imaginative interpretation created through photographic compositing. We do not want to dictate what photographers can or cannot create. Instead, we encourage you to explore the possibilities of the medium and submit work that represents your individual vision—as long as it remains photography.
This is the thirteenth edition of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards, continuing a tradition of celebrating exceptional landscape imagery from photographers around the world.
The main objective is simple: get your work into the Top 101. Having one or more photographs selected means your work will have the opportunity to appear in the exclusive annual awards book, a collection showcasing some of the most impressive landscape photography of the year. The publication is available online, with a physical hard-cover edition available as well.
The competition also offers a substantial prize package, with US$12,500 in total cash prizes, trophies, and printed books awarded to major prize winners.
Your photograph doesn't have to follow a formula. It simply needs to make the judges stop, look, and remember. Enter your strongest landscape photography and discover whether your work can earn a place among the Top 101 landscape photographs of the year.
