Photography competitions are always a combination of skill, creativity, vision, and a little bit of luck. That is precisely why the International Landscape Photographer of the Year celebrates more than just a first, second, and third-place winner. Instead, the competition recognizes the Top 101 landscape photographs of the year, creating an opportunity for a much broader range of photographers and photographic approaches to be celebrated.

The judges are looking for outstanding landscape photography in all its forms. A winning image might be a beautifully timed single exposure, a carefully composed traditional landscape, or a highly imaginative photographic composite. We believe photographers should have the freedom to explore the medium in their own way, without unnecessary limitations on technique or creative expression—as long as the final work remains photography.

For the thirteenth edition of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards, photographers are invited to submit their strongest and most compelling landscape images for consideration. Your work could earn a place among the Top 101 landscape photographs of the year, giving you the opportunity to be featured in the prestigious annual awards book.

The selected Top 101 photographs will be brought together in a special publication available online, with a physical hard-cover edition also available for those who want a lasting printed record of the year's exceptional landscape photography.

With a total of US$12,500 in cash prizes, trophies, and printed copies of the book available to major prize winners, the competition offers photographers an exciting opportunity to gain international recognition and have their work celebrated alongside some of the finest landscape photography of the year.
