When we think of fact and fiction in photography, things that are intrinsically opposite sometimes interconnect, hence allowing the emergence of what’s in between. Naoki Honjo, our jury for this competition, has always been working on the “UNREAL” of the cities. In the world today, the proportion of the internet’s virtual space, social media included, has grown, and therefore the definition of reality has become more and more ambiguous. Likewise, unconsciously, we may be considering fiction as part of reality at times. What is the world of fact and fiction that lies in each of us? Turn your eyes to this possibility and show us your answer using photography.
