Since its inception in 2011, the ICRC Humanitarian Visa d’Or has stood as a significant platform for recognizing the power of photojournalism in documenting the harsh realities of war. Each year, the International Committee of the Red Cross honors one professional photojournalist who has captured the human cost of armed conflict with courage and compassion. This year’s theme, "Civilians, the first victims of armed conflict," highlights the innocent lives most deeply affected by violence. The selected winner not only receives critical recognition for their work but is also awarded a prize of 8,000 euros to support their ongoing commitment to humanitarian reporting.
