In the summer of 2025, the Hasselblad Foundation will host Sweden’s largest photography exhibition – Fotosalongen 2025. Both amateur and professional photographers from all genres are invited to apply during the open call period, running from September 2nd to November 30th. A prestigious jury, including Pauline Benthede (Global Vice President of Exhibitions at Fotografiska), Eva Dahlgren (artist and photographer), Paul Hansen (award-winning photographer at Dagens Nyheter), and Dragana Vujanovic Östlind (Jury Chair and Chief Curator at the Hasselblad Foundation), will select the works.
Opening on May 23rd, 2025, Fotosalongen will transform the walls of the Hasselblad Center. This initiative aligns with Erna and Victor Hasselblad's mission to support photography and aims to create a space where established artists meet emerging talents, including photographers who have long been active but are showcasing their work for the first time.
Photographers residing in Sweden who are at least 18 years old are eligible to apply. Fotosalongen will reflect the diversity of photography, from documentary, photojournalism, nature, and street photography to science, art, and beyond. The jury will focus on compelling images and stories, aiming to showcase the depth and breadth of contemporary photography.
Applications, additional information, and FAQs can be found on the submission platform, Picter.
