The Global Peace Photo Award, which was previously known as the Alfred Fried Photography Award, is a prestigious international photography competition dedicated to promoting the idea of peace through powerful visual storytelling. This award is organized by Edition Lammerhuber, a renowned Austrian publishing house, in close collaboration with a distinguished group of global and national institutions. These include the Photographische Gesellschaft (PHG), UNESCO, the Austrian Parliament, and the Austrian Parliamentary Reporting Association. Additional esteemed partners supporting the award are the International Press Institute (IPI), World Press Photo Foundation, POY LATAM (Pictures of the Year Latin America), and LensCulture. The award is also backed by APA – Austria Presse Agentur, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh) e.V., UNICEF Austria, and the Vienna Insurance Group. Together, these organizations help to honor and elevate photography that captures the essence of peace in our world.
