The Global Peace Photo Award, formerly known as the Alfred Fried Photography Award, is a prestigious international competition that highlights photography focused on themes of peace and humanity. The award is organized by Edition Lammerhuber in partnership with a broad coalition of respected institutions and organizations. Among these are the Photographische Gesellschaft (PHG), UNESCO, the Austrian Parliament, and the Austrian Parliamentary Reporting Association. The initiative is further supported by internationally renowned bodies such as the International Press Institute (IPI), the World Press Photo Foundation, POY LATAM, and LensCulture, as well as APA – Austria Presse Agentur, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh) e.V., UNICEF Austria, and the Vienna Insurance Group.
