The year 2026 marks a significant milestone for the Getxophoto International Image Festival: its 20th edition. Over the past three years, we have explored the metaphoric buttons PAUSE, PLAY, and REC, each reflecting a distinct mode of seeing and experiencing the world. Now, as we reach this symbolic anniversary, the logical continuation of that journey leads us to a single, powerful gesture — RESET. This is the moment to reboot the system.

A twentieth anniversary is more than a reason to celebrate; it’s a rare opportunity to assess our trajectory. It allows us to look back at two decades of artistic experimentation, at the countless voices and visions that have shaped this festival’s identity. It is also a chance to reimagine what comes next — to refresh the program’s energy, to question what needs to change, and to imagine how art can respond to a rapidly transforming world.

With this open call, we invite submissions that interpret RESET as a concept, a process, or an act. Works may address personal metamorphosis, environmental regeneration, social renewal, or digital rebirth. We welcome photography, installation, video, performance, and digital art that explore cycles of destruction and creation, endings and beginnings. How do we start over — individually, collectively, and globally? The RESET edition will be a space for these questions to unfold.
