In June 2026, the Getxophoto International Image Festival will celebrate its twentieth anniversary — two decades of exploring the evolving language of photography and visual storytelling. After three memorable editions dedicated to the themes PAUSE, PLAY, and REC, it feels only natural that the next step in our creative journey is RESET — the symbolic button that invites us to restart, to clear the slate, and to begin again with fresh perspective.

Anniversaries are more than milestones; they are moments of introspection. They encourage us to celebrate our achievements while also reflecting on the paths we’ve taken — to revisit our archives, measure our transformations, and understand how far we’ve come. Yet they also inspire us to look forward, to sow new ideas with renewed enthusiasm, much like turning over the soil to prepare for another season of growth.

For this new edition, we invite artists and creators from around the world to engage with the concept of RESET through photography, video, installation, performance, digital media, or any other form of visual expression. We are looking for works that explore renewal, transformation, recycling, and reinvention — both personal and collective. What does it mean to reboot a system, a mindset, a community, or even a planet? Show us how you interpret the art of beginning again.
