This year, the selected honoree will be awarded an unrestricted grant of $10,000, offering them the freedom to advance their practice in whatever way best supports their creative work. In addition to the financial award, the honoree will have the rare opportunity to participate in remote studio visits with each member of the distinguished jury cohort, gaining personalized feedback and professional insight from established leaders in the field. The honoree’s work and perspective will also be highlighted through a published interview in the Foundwork Dialogues program, providing valuable visibility and an enduring platform for their artistic voice. Beyond the main prize, three additional artists will be recognized and named to the 2025 Short List, ensuring that multiple participants receive recognition for their exceptional contributions.

To be eligible for consideration, artists must complete registration on the Foundwork platform and maintain an active, published profile during the entire selection period. A qualifying profile must include at least six artworks along with an artist statement that reflects their practice and vision. Profiles must remain active between 5:00 pm PT on September 26, 2025, and 5:00 pm PT on December 31, 2025, for artists to remain under consideration for the award.
