The contest is dedicated to black-and-white photography, inviting photographers to submit their strongest monochrome images. The theme focuses on the visual possibilities of working without colour, highlighting elements such as light, shadow, contrast, texture, composition, atmosphere, and subject matter.

Entries may explore the theme through different photographic approaches and genres, including portrait, landscape, documentary, street, architecture, abstract, conceptual, or experimental photography. The contest provides an opportunity to present images in which tonal range, form, and visual storytelling play a central role.

Photographers can participate by submitting their best black-and-white photographs for consideration.

Prize: A total of €500 in cash prizes is offered by Fotocontest.it. The prize distribution is as follows:

• €300 for the first-place winner, awarded to one winning photograph.

• €50 for each of the four finalists, with four finalist photographs receiving an award.

The contest recognises one winning photograph and four additional finalist photographs.
