We are proud to launch the Form Photo Award x UNSEEN 2027 in collaboration with UNSEEN, Picter, and Form Magazine—an annual international award dedicated to supporting outstanding contemporary photography and amplifying the voices of emerging artists working today.
The award is founded on a shared commitment to promoting innovative photographic practices and creating meaningful opportunities for photographers at pivotal stages of their careers. We invite submissions from artists whose projects demonstrate a distinctive visual perspective, conceptual rigor, and a critical engagement with the medium. By connecting emerging talent with internationally recognized institutions and audiences, the Form Photo Award x UNSEEN seeks to encourage artistic excellence while fostering dialogue across cultures and disciplines within the global photography community.
Since its inception, the Form Photo Award has established itself as a platform that extends well beyond recognition alone. Previous award recipients have not only received a cash prize but have also exhibited their work at major international art events, including exhibitions in Paris, Miami Scope during Art Basel Miami Beach, and photo basel during Art Basel Basel. These opportunities have enabled winning photographers to present their work to influential audiences and further develop their professional careers.
In 2027, selected winners will receive complimentary participation in UNSEEN 2027 during Art Rotterdam, one of Europe's premier destinations for contemporary photography. Every year, the fair welcomes thousands of visitors from across the international art world, including museum professionals, curators, collectors, critics, publishers, gallery representatives, and photography experts. Exhibiting at UNSEEN offers participants an exceptional opportunity to present their work in a highly visible international setting, engage directly with leading figures in the field, build valuable professional relationships, and become part of the ongoing conversations shaping the future of contemporary photography.
