FILLING THE FRAME challenges photographers to go beyond simplicity — to capture the pulse and rhythm of visual excess. We’re celebrating images that overflow: layered compositions packed with energy, personality, and intention.

This is your chance to explore fullness — to play with intersecting lines, overlapping forms, bold textures, and rich patterns. Capture a street alive with motion, a forest tangled in branches, a market exploding with color, or an abstract that nearly tips into chaos. The goal? To find beauty, order, and story in the most crowded corners of life.

Filling the Frame is about the thrill of composition under pressure — about learning to see art where others might only see confusion. How much can you include before it all falls apart?

Juror Dallas Crow will select 35 images for exhibition in our Middlebury, Vermont gallery and 40 for our Online Gallery. All 75 photographs will appear in the official exhibition catalog, remain on permanent display on our website, and receive wide social media promotion linking directly to each photographer’s online presence.
