The open call is seeking two photographers for the first exhibition programme of 2027, inviting artists to develop their own interpretation of the theme “Lines.” Rather than prescribing a particular subject, technique or photographic style, the call leaves the concept deliberately open, allowing photographers to approach the theme according to their individual interests, practices and creative perspectives. The selection will be made with the participation of guest juror Eric Bouvet.
The organisers are looking for photographic work capable of generating curiosity and encouraging a second look. Particular attention will be given to projects that demonstrate an original way of seeing, whether through an unexpected choice of subject, an unusual visual vocabulary, an unconventional compositional structure or a distinctive method of arranging elements within the frame. The aim is to discover photographs that establish a coherent visual language of their own and offer viewers an opportunity to engage with the work beyond its first impression.
While two photographers are expected to be selected for the exhibition, the organisers may also choose to devote the exhibition to a single artist. This option will be considered when a submitted body of work demonstrates an exceptional level of artistic merit together with a particularly strong and individual vision.
The selected artists will benefit from full coverage of the costs associated with printing their work and promoting the exhibition. Attendance at the opening is possible for selected photographers who wish to be present, although travel and related arrangements will need to be organised independently by the artists.
Applications must include a PDF portfolio of 10 to 25 photographs, accompanied by a biography and an artist statement. The call is open to photographers working across all genres and approaches. A €25 application contribution is required to support the administrative and organisational costs of managing the open call.
