A photography festival called Exposure+ Photo 2023 will take place in September in the lively city of Kuala Lumpur. Our objective is to present, discuss, and share cutting-edge photography and video with audiences in Malaysia and the region. Open to photographers from Malaysia and around the world.

In September 2023, selected photography and video projects will be displayed at various partner locations in Kuala Lumpur as part of the second EXPOSURE+ PHOTO festival. Photographers from all over the world are encouraged to submit works that were influenced by stories, memories, or lived experiences for the 2023 theme "A Different Light." Our selectors want to see the visual stories you've always wanted to tell, reimagine, or retell in a new way, approach, format, or narrative: those wonderful childhood tales or encounters with strangers, happy family outings, and the first feelings and affections You might want to reshoot a previous story from a different angle. Try viewing your street photos from a new perspective. Play a variety of protagonist and antagonist roles in your stories. Your imagination opens up a world of possibilities. Both imagination and photography are potent storytelling tools; without being constrained by rules, restrictions, or conventions. Stories can be true, true fiction, or a combination of the two. Your projects will be selected by a panel of seasoned professionals for production and display in one of our multi-venue partner locations in Kuala Lumpur. Every Genre: International artists will be able to apply to this open call for the first time! Projects and videos can be made using disciplines like documentary, conceptual, experimental, or fine art, all of which have their own place in the modern world. Twenty artists who respond to the theme "A Different Light" will be selected to exhibit their work.
