Photographers worldwide are invited to participate in the EVI MONO AWARDS, an international photography competition dedicated exclusively to monochrome images that explore the many facets of women's lives. Established to highlight authentic storytelling and distinctive artistic voices, the award provides a platform for photographers who wish to share compelling narratives through the expressive power of black and white photography.

The competition welcomes submissions from emerging and established photographers alike, encouraging projects that capture personal experiences, documentary moments, conceptual ideas, or emotional reflections connected to women and their stories.

The inaugural edition includes two competition categories:

• Documentary

• Conceptual

Rather than focusing on a single interpretation, the EVI MONO AWARDS embraces a broad spectrum of subjects. Entries may explore themes such as identity, memory, resilience, relationships, social challenges, everyday experiences, the female body, silence, personal growth, and countless other aspects of women's lives. Authenticity, emotional depth, and strong visual storytelling remain at the heart of the award.

Please note that images created using artificial intelligence are not eligible. The competition accepts only original photographic works produced by the submitting photographer.

One of the award's defining features is its accessibility: participation is entirely free, and photographers are not required to pay any submission or registration fees.

Outstanding photographers will receive valuable international exposure. Winning images, honourable mentions, and selected works will be featured on the official EVI MONO AWARDS website and across its social media channels. In addition, selected photographs may also be published through media partners, including FRAMES Magazine, helping artists reach a wider global audience.

An international panel of photographers, artists, and visual professionals from diverse countries and disciplines will evaluate all submissions. Based in Dublin while operating with an international perspective, the EVI MONO AWARDS seeks to promote outstanding monochrome photography that celebrates women's voices and experiences through powerful visual narratives.
