Hotusa Group is pleased to announce the 24th edition of the Eurostars Grand Marina Photography Award Josep Juanpere 2026, inviting both amateur and professional photographers to take part in this prestigious international competition. For this edition, participants are asked to create photographic triptychs inspired by the theme “Barcelona, World Capital of Architecture.” Each submission should consist of three images that work together as a cohesive visual narrative, reflecting a thoughtful and creative engagement with the theme.
The jury will evaluate the entries based on their originality, conceptual strength, and the technical and aesthetic quality of the work. Particular attention will be given to series that approach the theme in innovative ways, offering fresh perspectives on architecture and the urban environment.
In 2026, Barcelona has been officially designated by UNESCO as the World Capital of Architecture, highlighting its global significance as a center of architectural excellence and urban innovation. In this context, the competition invites photographers to pay tribute to the city through their own visual interpretations. Participants are encouraged to explore and capture the richness of Barcelona’s architectural landscape—from its historic landmarks to its contemporary structures.
The aim of the award is to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of Barcelona’s built environment, while also reflecting on the role of urban planning in shaping the city’s identity and evolution. Through these photographic triptychs, contributors have the opportunity to present a nuanced vision of Barcelona as both a cultural and architectural reference point on the world stage.
