We are thrilled to announce that the Eidolon Grant 2025 is officially open! This international grant program, dedicated to supporting projects that explore, celebrate, and safeguard vernacular photography, offers a total of €25,000 in funding. Applications are open until August 31.
The Eidolon Grant seeks to empower artists, researchers, collectors, and photography enthusiasts whose work engages with everyday photographic heritage. Whether uncovering forgotten archives or analyzing the role of digital imagery in contemporary culture, successful projects will enrich our understanding of photography’s impact on society.
At Eidolon, we believe that everyday photography holds invaluable cultural and historical significance. Through this grant, we invite participants to examine both past and present image-making practices and their role in shaping visual narratives today.
Categories for 2025:

🔹 Everyday Photographs of the Past – Exploring archival photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries, uncovering their relevance and the importance of their preservation.
