The theme of this call is Botanical. We are interested in images that move beyond straightforward documentation of plants and natural subjects. Rather than simple representation, we encourage photographers to explore the expressive and imaginative possibilities within the botanical world.
We invite you to look closely and discover the unique character that can exist within a single leaf, the structural beauty and architectural complexity of a seedpod, or the sense of an entire miniature universe contained within the gentle curve of a petal. We are especially interested in work that reveals new ways of seeing familiar natural forms—images that highlight texture, pattern, emotion, symbolism, or abstraction.
All photographic styles, techniques, and creative processes are welcome, from traditional approaches to experimental methods. Whether your work is realistic, conceptual, abstract, or interpretive, we encourage you to present your personal vision of the botanical world.
