The theme of this call is Abandoned—an exploration of absence, memory, and the quiet traces left behind by time. We invite photographers to reflect on spaces, objects, and environments that have been left behind, whether through neglect, transition, or the passage of history. From decaying buildings and forgotten infrastructures to empty landscapes and overlooked corners of the world, abandonment can reveal unexpected narratives embedded in silence and stillness.

This theme also extends beyond physical locations. Personal relics, discarded belongings, and emotional remnants can carry powerful stories of what once was—echoes of human presence that linger even in absence. We encourage you to consider how these traces shape our understanding of time, loss, and transformation.

We are particularly interested in images that uncover beauty within decay, tension within stillness, and meaning within spaces that might otherwise go unnoticed. Whether subtle or striking, poetic or raw, your work can reveal the hidden layers of abandonment.

All photographic approaches are welcome, from documentary practices that observe and record, to conceptual interpretations that reimagine the idea of abandonment in unexpected ways.
