The Drone Photo Awards is widely recognized as one of the leading international competitions dedicated to drone photography, welcoming professional, amateur, and student photographers from around the world. The contest celebrates technical excellence, artistic vision, and original perspectives made possible through aerial imaging.

All submissions are carefully reviewed by an esteemed international jury composed of renowned photographers, photo editors, curators, and industry professionals. Each image is evaluated with a strong focus on creativity, innovation, and the ability to push the boundaries of visual storytelling through drone technology.

Winners in the main competition categories receive an exclusive invitation to attend the prestigious AWARDS CEREMONY and GALA, where they compete for the distinguished title of “Photographer of the Year.” The overall winner, along with category winners, is honored with the iconic PANGEA PRIZE crystal statuette, a symbol of excellence in contemporary drone photography.

The awards ceremony takes place in the historic city of Siena, Italy, at the elegant Teatro dei Rinnovati, and is held each October. This remarkable evening unveils the “Photographer of the Year” and presents a curated selection of the most compelling award-winning aerial images.

In addition, a special exhibition titled “Above Us Only Sky” will be hosted in Siena, featuring both Winning and Honorable Mention photographs. The exhibition offers the public a unique opportunity to experience the world from above through the eyes of today’s most talented drone photographers.
