For this section of the program, a group of ten distinguished reporters has been carefully selected. These individuals are recognized figures within the international landscape of cultural production, each bringing a unique perspective shaped by their professional experience. The selected personalities include Alberto Negrin, Stephen Bulger, Brendan McCleary, Dimitri Beck, Pancho Saula, Karin Kauffman, Davide Monteleone, Arianna Rinaldo, Eric R. Johnson, and Todd Hido. Their diverse backgrounds span curatorial practice, publishing, photography, and critical discourse, making them particularly well-suited to contribute meaningfully to this initiative.
Each of these reporters will be invited to submit two distinct works. Rather than producing the works themselves, they will each nominate professional photographers whose practice they consider compelling and relevant. The chosen photographers will then be commissioned to create entirely new, previously unpublished projects. Each project must consist of a cohesive photographic body of work comprising at least 25 images. These works should respond to the central theme of the competition—Proximities—offering a personal, thoughtful interpretation that reflects the photographer’s vision and conceptual approach.
