We invite photographers to take part in our Self Portrait Photography Call, celebrating the personal stories, emotions, and creative visions that can emerge when the photographer becomes the subject.

A self portrait is an opportunity to pause and look inward. It can be a reflection of identity, a record of a particular moment in life, or a visual exploration of feelings, memories, dreams, and personal experiences. Sometimes it reveals exactly what the artist intends; other times, it leaves room for mystery and interpretation.

We are interested in self portraits that go beyond a simple representation of appearance. Tell us something through your image. Reveal a feeling, explore a question, document a transformation, or create a visual world that reflects your individual perspective. Your self portrait may be quiet and intimate, bold and expressive, surreal and imaginative, or raw and honest.

Photography gives us the ability to construct and deconstruct our identities, to explore the distance between how we see ourselves and how we are perceived by others. Through this call, we want to discover the many different ways photographers use the medium to understand, question, celebrate, or reinvent themselves.
