The emphasis is on photographs that reveal a personal way of seeing the land. Landscapes may be quiet and contemplative or vast and expansive—dense forests, open deserts, enduring mountain ranges, or softly shifting coastlines. Images may capture moments of stillness, dramatic skies, or subtle changes in atmosphere. Attention may be drawn to the smallest natural detail, such as the texture of a single leaf, or to the broad sweep of a valley shaped by distance and scale.

This call welcomes photographers who discover narrative within the horizon, using light, shadow, and composition to shape a distinct perspective on the natural world.
