Some seasons pass quietly, but summer lingers. It stretches out through long afternoons, warm evenings, and memories that seem to glow long after the days have ended. For this exhibition, we invite photographers to explore the feeling of a summer that refuses to fade—a season suspended in time, where golden sunlight lingers on the horizon and every day feels like it could last forever.
We are seeking photographs that capture the essence of summer in all its forms. Think of the warmth of late-day light, the stillness of humid air, the sound of distant laughter, empty beaches, crowded festivals, road trips, swimming pools, backyard gatherings, and solitary moments of reflection. Summer can be vibrant and energetic, filled with movement and celebration, or quiet and contemplative, marked by personal rituals and fleeting moments of calm.
Rather than documenting the season itself, we encourage artists to explore the emotions and memories that summer evokes. What does an endless summer feel like? What moments would you hold onto if you could stop time? We welcome a wide range of interpretations, from documentary and street photography to conceptual, fine art, and experimental work.
Selected photographs will be exhibited as part of a group exhibition at Decode Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, where audiences will have the opportunity to experience diverse photographic visions of a season that continues to inspire longing, nostalgia, and wonder.
