We at Decode Gallery are thrilled to unveil the theme for our upcoming show: Black and White. There’s something inherently poetic about black and white photography—it speaks across time, cutting through distractions to reveal the essence of a moment. Long before color film, it was in black and white that photography first told its stories. Even today, this medium continues to captivate with its ability to highlight form, contrast, and emotion through a seemingly simple palette. We invite you to submit your work and show us the world through your grayscale lens—bold, quiet, dramatic, or subtle.

About the Juror:

Holly Hart will serve as the juror for this special exhibition. A dedicated fine art photographer, Holly was raised in the serene landscapes of Southern Oregon. She graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2011 with a BA in Photography. Her artistic journey has led her to national recognition, with her work featured in both publications and gallery spaces. Holly founded Decode Gallery with the vision of creating a platform where photographers could connect, share, and shine. Her deep commitment to the medium continues to shape the gallery’s mission today.
