Red exists beyond its surface definition. It functions as a visual rhythm—a heartbeat that carries the weight of memory, emotion, and lived experience. It can be forceful or subtle, loud or barely perceptible. At times, red demands attention; at others, it recedes, shaping meaning through tension and restraint rather than excess. Its presence is rarely neutral and never simple.
In this exhibition, we are not seeking dramatic gestures or overt visual spectacle. Instead, we are drawn to images where red feels intimate and necessary—where it emerges organically from the photographer’s way of seeing. Whether it appears boldly within the composition or quietly along its periphery, red should feel inseparable from the image itself. We invite work that approaches red not as a fixed symbol, but as an experience—one shaped by personal history, perception, and emotional resonance.
