Some photographs have a way of stopping us right at the edge of something.
They place us in between—between spaces, between moments, or between emotional states. There’s a sense that we are witnessing a transition, or that something just happened or is about to happen, even if we can’t fully define it.
With PORTAL, we are inviting images that explore this idea of passage and change. A portal might be something visible, like a doorway, a tunnel, or a path leading somewhere else. But it can also be something less tangible—an atmosphere, a gesture, or a composition that creates a feeling of tension, anticipation, or transformation.
We are looking for photographs that give the viewer that sensation of standing at the threshold of the unknown. Images that feel open-ended, suggestive, and full of possibility.
The selection process for this exhibition will be highly focused. Up to 60 works will be chosen, creating a concise and thoughtfully curated collection.
