To belong—or not belong—to a place is a deeply human experience. It’s the difference between rootedness and restlessness, familiarity and foreignness. The places we call home, the spaces we pass through, and those we only dream of—they all leave a mark on us, shaping who we are and how we see the world.

With this in mind, Decagon Gallery invites photographers worldwide to submit their work for PLACES AND SPACES, a virtual exhibition that examines the environments that surround us. Whether you're drawn to the raw beauty of nature, the intimacy of interiors, or the chaos of urban life, this exhibition is an opportunity to share how you experience space—and how you interpret the notion of place.

We are open to all kinds of visual storytelling: from traditional landscapes to experimental compositions, from documentary to conceptual, from the hyperlocal to the imagined. Your work might be deeply personal, subtly political, or entirely abstract. We encourage you to think broadly and creatively about how space interacts with identity, memory, and emotion.
