What does it mean to feel at home in a place—or, conversely, to experience the alienation of not fitting in? Our sense of belonging is often shaped by the environments we encounter, whether these are landscapes we live within, spaces we pass through briefly, or imagined worlds that exist only in our minds.

Decagon Gallery is now accepting submissions for PLACES AND SPACES, an upcoming online photography exhibition focused on how environments—both real and conceptual—influence our lives and identities. We invite photographers from all backgrounds and disciplines to submit work that explores the theme from any angle. This exhibition will showcase a diverse range of photographic perspectives, from vast natural vistas to confined interior spaces, and from chaotic urban scenes to the stillness of isolation.

All forms and styles are welcome. Whether your work is rooted in documentary storytelling, conceptual exploration, fine art abstraction, or social commentary, we encourage you to submit pieces that reflect your unique vision. We’re especially interested in images that provoke thought, challenge assumptions, or offer fresh insight into the concept of place.

Juror: To Be Announced.An established juror with expertise in photography and visual arts will be announced soon. Selected works will receive prominent placement in our online gallery and will benefit from Decagon Gallery’s strong curatorial focus and global audience reach.
