Decagon Gallery - "Patterns In the Wild" Photography Exhibition

Patterns are a foundational expression of nature and human creation alike. We encounter them in the recursive mathematics of fractals within plant life, such as the delicate spiral of a fern, and in the organized repetition of streets and blocks that form our cities. They manifest in the rough and unplanned erosion of time—seen in rust, decay, and weathering—and in the deliberate aesthetics of animal markings that mirror each side in near-perfect symmetry. These patterns serve as a bridge between chaos and comprehension, offering glimpses of structure within the seemingly random, and revealing how deeply design is woven into both natural and artificial environments. They are a testament to the universe's tendency to form coherence out of disorder.
