NIGHT WORKS calls on photographers to explore the visual and emotional possibilities of the hours after dark. In this exhibition, night is more than a setting—it is a creative force that shapes light, alters perception, and redefines space. Submitted images may be bold or restrained, urban or rural, crowded or deeply solitary. They may rely on streetlights, neon, moonlight, long exposures, or darkness itself. What unites them is not their subject matter, but the way night actively influences their form and meaning.
Photographers working across all genres are encouraged to apply, including fine art, documentary, conceptual, staged, and experimental photography.
Selected entries will be announced on April 15.
The exhibition will launch on April 20 and remain on view through June 20.
All selected photographers will receive:
Inclusion in the Night Works online exhibition
A digital exhibition badge and a printable certificate of participation
Promotional features on Decagon Gallery’s social media channels
Inclusion in the exhibition catalog and a dedicated YouTube video presentation
Images must have been created at night or clearly evoke nighttime conditions.
