The Doug Pensinger Photography Fund exists to nurture and support the next generation of sports photographers, focusing on those who are at the beginning of their professional journey or still building their careers. Its mission is to provide meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and recognition within the field.
Because of this focus, the Fund is best suited for photographers with limited professional experience. Those who have accumulated more than three years of paid sports photography work are considered beyond the early-career stage and are therefore not eligible for its programs.
A core value of the Fund is its commitment to inclusivity and diversity. It strives to create equal opportunities by offering its programs at no cost and selecting participants based on merit. While the Fund welcomes applicants from across the globe, it is important for international applicants to understand that visa support cannot be provided.
In order to continue expanding access to new voices and talents, previous recipients of a Doug Pensinger Photography Fund grant are not eligible to apply again.
