All competition entries must be submitted digitally by 31 July 2026. Following the closing date, the judging panel will review all submissions, and shortlisted finalists will be notified within one week. Finalists will then be invited to produce and submit a printed version of their selected image(s), which will be assessed during the LIVE Print Judging taking place on 28 September 2026 in Milton Keynes.

Admission to the live judging event is £10 per ticket. However, entrants who submit three images will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the judging.

The competition features a wide range of photographic categories:

• Individual Portrait – Portraits of a single person, including studio, environmental, and creative portraits. Both commissioned and personal work are accepted. Children over 12 weeks of age may be entered in this category.

• Group Portrait – Images featuring two or more subjects. Pets may be included provided that at least one human appears in the photograph. Studio, environmental, and creative portraits are all eligible. Commissioned and non-commissioned work is accepted.

• Boudoir – Commissioned boudoir photography that showcases the genre and style. Images featuring professional models are not permitted and should instead be entered into the Fashion & Beauty category.

• Maternity – Photographs celebrating pregnancy. Partners and children may be included, but the expectant mother must remain the primary focus. Commissioned and personal work are both eligible.

• Newborn – Images of babies up to 12 weeks old. Additional subjects may appear as supporting elements but should not dominate the composition. Both commissioned and non-commissioned work is accepted.

• Fashion & Beauty – Editorial, commercial, or aspirational fashion photography, as well as beauty portraits where styling or enhancement is central to the image. Models are permitted. Both commissioned and personal work may be entered.

• Domesticated Animals – Portraits of companion animals such as dogs, cats, and horses. Images of captive wild animals are not eligible.

• Wedding – Photographs captured during an actual wedding day, whether documentary or posed. Only commissioned work from genuine weddings is accepted. Styled shoots and models are not permitted.

• Natural World – Wildlife, macro, and nature photography captured in natural environments. Captive or trained animals, including birds of prey, are excluded.

• Monochrome – Images presented entirely in monochrome, including black and white or single-colour tonal variations.

• Scapes – Landscapes, seascapes, and urban landscapes. People may appear but should not be the main subject.

• Advertising & Commercial – Commissioned commercial photography created for advertising or promotional purposes. The primary photographic elements must have been captured by the entrant, with only minor additional elements permitted.

• Sports, Travel & Events – Images documenting sporting events, organised events, or travel experiences.

• The Click Backdrops Category – Any photograph created using a physical Click Backdrop.

• Digital Artistry – A creative open category allowing the combination of photography with AI-generated content, CGI, illustrations, or other digital elements. A photographic component must remain a significant part of the final image.
