Chennai International Photo Biennale - Photo Open Call Powered by Sigma

By sharing your work, you are placing your artistry before an international jury composed of curators, museum and institution directors, and photography industry innovators. These are individuals who champion creativity and support emerging voices, and each submission is given thoughtful, meaningful attention.

All participants also benefit from the Open Call’s large communication footprint. Your work may appear in various forms across our outreach efforts—from open call announcements and behind-the-scenes content to social media highlights and partner features. These touches of visibility introduce your photography to new communities and cultivate a sense of belonging within a larger creative network.

For Artists Selected as Finalists

Finalists will receive the opportunity to see their work transformed into high-quality physical prints and exhibited throughout Chennai as part of the International Photography Open Call. With over 100,000 attendees, this exhibition invites a vibrant and diverse audience to engage with your images, creating meaningful connections between artist and public.

Your work will continue to gain momentum through CPB’s dedicated promotional support. Expect visibility through digital campaigns, newsletters, collaborative advertising, and sustained social media representation—ensuring your work stays in the spotlight long after the exhibition concludes.

Finalists will also be honored with a dedicated online feature both on the Open Call website and across CPB’s social platforms, giving global audiences a chance to discover your creative voice.

Beyond Chennai, finalists may also have their work showcased in a travelling exhibition in another Indian city during 2026, extending the life of the project. Additionally, digital showcases through partner photography festivals may offer new pathways for recognition, dialogue, and opportunity.
